Controlled by Duncan Villone, Violet is ordered to kill Henry Vincent. Will Henry survive? Will Violet break free of Villone’s control? And what is Villone’s endgame?

This miniseries wraps up and there is a huge amount of things happening with each page.  Marc Andreyko doesn’t give Violet a moment to catch her breath throughout this entire issue, and I really feel that if he did it really would have felt forced because the pacing in this issue is fast as we get to the conclusion of this story and jumping directly in to Executive Assistant: Iris #4 next week.

I got to the end of this issue and thought back on the other series trying to think if I enjoyed one over the other, but I really couldn’t decide.  I think all of them have been top notch and highly enjoyable.  I think the overall storyline has really remained strong since the beginning and the 3-issues miniseries like Violet have been essential additions and not just tacked on to the larger story.

I will say that after reading this issue of Violet, Andreyko needs to return and write more about these characters.  I know Iris is David Wohl’s baby, but at the same time I think Andreyko really does a great job, at least with Violet, and if she and Orchid and Lotus survive this storyline it would be interesting to see Andreyko continue their adventures somehow.

The art in this miniseries has been great thanks to the talented Pop Mhan, Lori Hanson, John Starr, and workhorse Josh Reed.  I think Reed is always the unsung hero throughout all of Aspen’s titles.  He definitely puts in the work and there’s never any evidence that he’s not putting in his 110% in each issue he letters!

I am really looking forward to Executive Assistant: Iris #4 to see how all of these miniseries pull together and march toward the conclusion of Hit List Agenda.  If you’re still not reading this incredibly well put together storyline it’s your loss.  You owe it to yourself to find these issues and enjoy it for yourself.
